Effects of Drought and Neglect

The redevelopment has of the Gardens has been wonderful unfortunately it has been too late for many of the trees. We have lost another one just recently, a Norfolk Pine. A project for next year might include replacing some of these - any suggestions for type?

Development of old Bowling Green Site

The Old Bowling Green site has finally been reclaimed and landscaped. This has involved the construction of new paths (concrete unfortunately, gravel would have been nicer) new plant beds, new seating, new lighting (council is using the lights from the old bowling club) and yes finally irrigation! So far, most of the plants have survived and we expect it to look great in spring. It has really opened up the gardens and will provide a great venue for music and festival events. If any one is interesting in using the site for these purposes let us know.

Take a walk through the new development and let us know your thoughts.
